Volunteer Opportunities

The Parent Participation program encourages parental involvement in the school and parish. Two-parent families are expected to complete 40 hours of volunteer work, single parents need to complete 20 hours each school year. If a family chooses not to volunteer they may pay the $100.00 non-participation fee. Uncompleted hours will be prorated.

Please log hours in Sycamore.  Click on 'My School'.  Enter your hours in the 'Service Log'.

Scrip

Scrip is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase scrip, you're purchasing gift cards or certificates that the parish has purchased at a discounted amount. You purchase them for face value and the parish receives the profit at that time. Each vendor has their own discount that they pass on to nonprofit organizations like us. The percent varies from1.5% to 20%. We purchase some of our certificates locally and from The Great Lakes Scrip Center, with unlimited possiblilities of vendors to choose from.

Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don't have to sell anything. Using scrip for making regular household purchases generates revenue for the school. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip. Scrip purchases may be used for “Parent Participation” points and can be purchased after every weekend mass and at the parish office before 4:00 p.m. during the week.  If anyone has any questions they can contact the parish office 402-346-0900
